Alejandro Garnacho is a Man United player and is also part of the Argentina national team, and he did not play in the Copa America final against Colombia. Garnacho is often criticized for being in the Argentina national team while being a huge fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. On X, many accounts pointed out his 'attitude' on the bench, which shows his support for Ronaldo instead of Lionel Messi, who is seen as the rival of the Portuguese striker.

A video surfaced of Garnacho looking serious on the bench and 'ignoring' Messi at the bench. Messi was crying on the bench after he came off the pitch because of an ankle injury. Garnacho appeared not to care about the Argentine legend, but he denied that by simply responding with a picture of him happy and hugging Messi after the Copa America 1-0 win against Colombia.
