England is witnessing another generation of world-class players. England had the likes of Steven Gerrard, John Terry, Frank Lampard, and Rio Ferdinand playing at the same time. Now England has players like Phil Foden, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Jude Bellingham who are considered as one of the best players in the world. While some believe these are some of the best players England has to offer, an ex-England player makes a bold statement about Jude Bellingham.

Bellingham is arguably one of the best players in the world due to his performances with Real Madrid in his debut season. Real Madrid signed Bellingham as another key option in the midfield. Bellingham has been playing more as an attacker rather than a midfielder due to the number of goals he has scored for the Spanish giants. Bellingham has 16 goals and three assists in 21 matches for Real Madrid in La Liga this season. The English midfielder also shines in the Champions League, as he has four goals and three assists in five games.
During the coverage of the FC Porto vs Arsenal Champions League game with TNT Sports, Rio Ferdinand shared a list of who he thinks are the world-class players in football now. Ferdinand listed 12 players, including Harry Kane, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappé, Ederson, Alisson, Kyle Walker, Van Dijk, Rodri, De Bruyne, Mohamed Salah, Vinicius Jr., and Jude Bellingham. Martin Keown disagreed with Rio's list and questioned Bellingham being on the list instead of Bukayo Saka. Keown said, "Bellingham, a world-class player? I will question this. Saka has been the England Player of the Year for the last two years. Bellingham has not got that."
