Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal did not have a good end of the group stages of EURO 2024 as they lost 2-0 against Georgia. The Portuguese striker was not happy during the match, but they still finished first in Group F with six points. Portugal will be playing Slovenia in the Round of 16. After two consecutive weeks of EURO football, there will be two days without football in the tournament as the national teams will rest ahead of the knockout stages. Ronaldo is making the most of his time off, as he was with his family at the concentration camp of the Portuguese national team in Germany. Ronaldo was with his children on "National Family Day" at the Portugal concentration camp for the EUROS. Portugal's match against Slovenia will be on Monday, July 1st, at the Frankfurt Arena. Ronaldo is likely to still be with his family today and tomorrow, as the weekend will be focused on team training and preparation for the match against Slovenia.

Portugal started the EUROS on the right track as they defeated the Czech Republic 2-1 in their first match of the EUROS. They were trailing 1-0 in the match, but they turned things around after a late winner in the 92nd minute from substitute Francisco Conceicao. Ronaldo played the entire match against Czechia.

In the seocnd match, Portugal was seen as one of the favorites to win the whole tournament as they defeated Turkiye 3-0 at the Borussia Dortmund stadium. Turkiye was top of the table before this encounter, but a goal from Bernardo Silva, an own goal, and a goal by Bruno Fernandes sealed an important win that gave them a pass into the knockout stages.
