The Saudi Arabian club wants to keep CR7 as long as possible, and now they want to sign Ronaldo's former teammate to keep him motivated to stay. Al Nassr is interested in Manchester United defender Raphael Varane, who has been linked with the club for a while, but many weren't sure if it would be possible. Now, it is a strong possibility after Varane confirmed that he will leave Manchester United this summer after the end of the season. The French defender will become a free agent, and the club will only need to negotiate his wages.

Varane's contract was set to expire next year as an option to extend it by Man United, but the club seemed to not activate it, and the French defender took the time to let the fans know that he would leave. Varane posted a farewell video on his social media pages to confirm his departure from the club and he will play his final game at Old Trafford tomorrow against Newcastle United.

Erik Ten Hag spoke about playing Varane for the remaining three games this season for Manchester United, which will be against Newcastle United and Brighton on the weekend, and then the FA Cup Final against Manchester City on May 25th. Ten Hag said, "We are planning, definitely, for the last games [for Raphaël Varane to play]. Not tomorrow but we hope for Sunday and then, of course, for the last game.” Varane's last game for Man United was against Chelsea in a 4-3 loss in April and has been out due to injury.
