The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) and sportswear giant Puma have officially revealed the new kits for the national teams, marking the start of a new chapter after three decades with Nike. Designed specifically for the men's and women's teams, the kits reinterpret Portugal's iconic symbols while embracing a bold and modern look.

The men’s primary jersey features a classic red base with gold and green accents, celebrating passion and commitment “for the love of the shirt.” Meanwhile, the women’s primary kit combines red, mint green, and black for a personalized design that highlights the uniqueness of the team.

Innovation and Sustainability at the Core

Puma integrated cutting-edge technology into the jerseys, using Ultraweave fabric to reduce weight and friction, paired with dryCELL technology for superior sweat absorption. For fan replicas, the brand embraced sustainability by using recycled textile waste, promoting a more circular and eco-friendly production process.

The alternative kits also innovate with futuristic designs that reinterpret the iconic 'quinas' emblem. The men’s alternate jersey features a white base with custom red and green graphics and a black round neckline. The women’s version boasts a mint green base with black, red, and green graphics, offering a contemporary style that merges art, technology, and football.

Statements That Define a New Beginning

Nuno Moura, FPF’s Marketing Director, shared his excitement about the collaboration: “These Puma jerseys celebrate Portugal’s rich football heritage and its most cherished symbols, while showcasing the passion, creativity, and excellence of Portuguese football.”

Marco Mueller, Puma’s Commercial Director, echoed the sentiment, expressing pride in partnering with one of the “most exciting national teams in the world” and highlighting the commitment to a design that combines tradition and innovation.

A Long-Term Partnership

The agreement between FPF and Puma, announced in late 2024, took effect on January 1, 2025, marking the start of a partnership poised to make waves both on and off the field.

  • Historic Change: Puma replaces Nike as the official sponsor of Portugal’s national teams after 30 years.
  • Exclusive Designs: Unique kits for the men’s and women’s teams reinterpreting the 'quinas' emblem.
  • Technological Innovation: Ultraweave fabric and dryCELL technology for enhanced performance and comfort.
  • Sustainability: Fan replicas made with recycled materials to minimize environmental impact.
  • Forward Vision: The partnership with Puma highlights the FPF’s mission to merge tradition and modernity in Portuguese football.
