Cristiano Ronaldo is often labeled as a selfish player but, at the same time, a competitive player. Ronaldo has shown signs of frustration on the pitch when things do not go his way, and with some media pointing out the bad side of him, his former teammates defend him. Al Nassr's assistant coach, Vitor Severino, talked about the side of Ronaldo that many do not talk about. Severino describes Ronaldo as a great person off the pitch; he said, "Sometimes we judge Ronaldo based on outside opinions because people only know his personality, but if you get close to him, you will realize that he is not only a great player, but also a good human being.”

Severino continues to praise Ronaldo for his leadership on and off the pitch. He said, "We have a great relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo; we are all of the same nationality, and so on. He is a world-class player, but in addition to being a great player, he is also a great man. Cristiano is the ultimate example of a professional player; he trains hard, and if you go and watch him train, you will be shocked because not many people can do it the way he trains.”

Another story that many have heard many times is the dedication CR7 has during training sessions, as he often arrives early and is the last to leave. Severino said, "When you arrive at training, Ronaldo is there and has already started training, and if the training ends, he does not leave immediately. When you make a coaching suggestion, he takes it straight away and does it very well because he is a top player.”

Al Nassr wants Ronaldo to renew his contract

Ronaldo's performances and teamwork with the Al Nassr team have reportedly convinced the club to offer him a new contract. The Portuguese striker's current contract with Al Nassr will expire in the summer of 2025. Ronaldo will turn 40 next year in February but looks more motivated than ever to continue his career for a few more years.
