Cristiano Ronaldo has one of the best mentality an athlete could wish to have. The Portuguese star faced a new low in the match against Slovenia in the EUROS as he missed a crucial penalty that could've given Portugal the win in extra time. Instead, it led to the game going to a penalty shootout and Portugal's victory. Even though Portugal won, many thought that Ronaldo was shaken by the penalty miss as he has still struggled to score a goal at EURO 2024 so far. He did not score in the group stage, which was the first time that happened in his career. EURO 2024 is likely his last major tournament with Portugal, and Ronaldo is motivated to win it. CR7 posted a strong message on his Instagram story that he had posted before, which is used to motivate himself ahead of the quarterfinals against France this Friday. He published a short message with a note that reads, "3 Aspects of Reality: Pain, Uncertainty, and Constant Work." Ronaldo recently used this message on his Instagram to motivate himself after the World Cup 2022 elimination and after the Al Nassr season.

After the elimination of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Ronaldo was visibly upset and couldn't believe to be knocked out of the tournament. CR7 posted this message after the elimination, which excites fans, thinking that he is motivated to play in the next World Cup. A couple of weeks ago, Ronaldo posted this message again after losing with Al Nassr in the King's Cup Final against Al Hilal, who won all the domestic trophies this past season.

The phrase is quoted from the documentary "Stutz." Actor Jonah Hill interviewed psychiatrist Phil Stutz, presenting his unique visual model of psychotherapy in which he mentioned these three aspects of reality. The psychiatrist talked about how bad moments need to happen in order for one to grow.

Ronaldo and Portugal's next match in the EUROS

As mentioned earlier, Ronaldo and Portugal will be playing against France in the quarterfinals this Friday. Ronaldo's message suggests that he is looking forward to the game against France and will seek revenge as he wants to perform better and score his first goal in the tournament.
