Gabriel Jesus, who has been linked with a move to Palmeiras for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, is going through a difficult period at Arsenal. With just one goal in 20 games this season, the Brazilian striker is experiencing his worst form since moving to Europe. Despite his struggles, he will be given another opportunity in Wednesday's Carabao Cup match against Crystal Palace.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed confidence in Jesus, believing he can turn his form around. “That’s nonsense. He goes through phases like any player, and some situations, like injuries. But his attitude is excellent and we continue to trust him. We will support him whenever possible,” Arteta said.

Gabriel Jesus' Future at Arsenal Hangs in the Balance

Despite the rumors linking Jesus to a return to his former club, Palmeiras president Leila Pereira has ruled out a move for the Brazilian. In an interview with Metrópoles, Pereira stated, "I speak clearly to our fans: it’s not true. Unfortunately, Gabriel Jesus is not coming to Palmeiras. I am very happy with my squad." She added that Palmeiras is focused on building a strong team rather than chasing individual stars.

With Arsenal seemingly committed to Jesus and Palmeiras publicly denying any interest, it appears that the Brazilian striker will remain at the Emirates Stadium for the time being. However, with the transfer window approaching, the situation could change quickly.
