Cristiano Ronaldo is the star of Al Nassr, and he had an incredible season based on his goal records for the team and in the Saudi Pro League. Al Nassr did not win any major trophies this past season, and the club hopes to make some significant signings in order to compete with Al Hilal next season. The Portuguese striker wants the club to make some strong signings to become a stronger team, but reports suggest that the team will be a crucial player next season. Sports reports that Sadio Mane will be leaving Al Nassr this summer. The Senegalese forward joined Al Nassr last summer for more than $30 million from Bayern Munich, and just like his time in Germany, he may only stay at a club for one full season. The Saudi Pro League club is not sure whether to sell him or keep him, but he is more likely to be on his way out.
Al-Riyadiah newspaper reports that Sadio Mane has offers from other Saudi Pro League clubs and from abroad! The decision regarding the player’s continuation next season has not yet been made. The Saudi Arabian newspaper wrote, “Mane costs nothing to Al Nassr’s budget as his salary is covered by the recruitment program, which could facilitate his transfer to other clubs in the Roshn Saudi League.”
Mane played a total of 46 matches for Al Nassr this past season across all competitions. He scored 19 goals and provided 11 assists across all competitions. He was one of the best players on the team, especially when Ronaldo was out due to an injury or a suspension. The Senegalese forward is 32 years old, and his market value is at around $15 million. His contract with Al Nassr expires in the summer of 2026.
Ronaldo is not concerned about Al Nassr at the moment, as the EUROS 2024 starts today. Ronaldo and the Portuguese national team are already in Germany, as their first match in the tournament will be against the Czech Republic on Tuesday at the Red Bull Arena Leipzig.
