Real Madrid will announce Kylian Mbappé as their new player for the next season in the next couple of days. The Spanish club will have an even stronger squad next season with the addition of the French star, but there may be a sale made this summer transfer window due to his arrival. Antonio Romero from Cadena Ser reports that there has not been a year that the club president, Florentino Pérez, has made a large outlay for a player, and that same year, he has not made a powerful sale. If you look at it year after year, in the management of Florentino Pérez, a great purchase always coincides with a good sale. Real Madrid will already lose Toni Kroos this summer as he announced his retirement, but now they could lose either Nacho Fernandez or Luka Modric this summer to make room for Mbappé.
Nacho Fernandez and Luka Modric have not yet confirmed if they will stay at the club next season. Their contract expires on June 30th this year, which is a couple of weeks away. Many Real Madrid fans want both of them to continue at the club next season due to their experience and high level. The club will have to analyze which players would need to leave to make sure there isn’t a high wage bill wasted this upcoming season.
Some think that Real Madrid will not need to make a sale this summer since Mbappé is arriving at the club as a free agent. Real Madrid currently doesn’t plan on selling any of the attackers unless a huge bid arrives. The Spanish champions want Mbappé to play alongside Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, and the rest of the attackers.
Kylian Mbappé is set to be announced as a new Real Madrid player next week. Real Madrid could either announce the deal being completed on Monday or on Tuesday. The official presentation at the Santiago Bernabeu will likely happen after the EUROS 2024, which ends on July 14th.
