Many fans want to see Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho reunite once again as the powerful coach and player duo. Ronaldo currently plays for Al Nassr and is set to play another season with the Saudi Arabian club in the Saudi Pro League next season. Mourinho is currently a free agent and wants to coach again next season, but he has been linked with many options. While a move to Al Nassr was a heavy rumor, it has slowed down as the Portuguese coach could potentially be coaching in Turkey. AS reports that Turkish club Fenerbache is interested in 'The Special One' and would prevent the reunion of Ronaldo and Mourinho.

Fenerbache is 2nd in the Turkish Super Lig with 93 points after 36 games played this season. Galatasaray are first with 99 points, but the two teams have confirmed their spots with the Champions League qualifiers for next season. Mourinho has been open to any club as of late, and the Portuguese coach may be persuaded to join the Turkish team to help them qualify for the Champions League next season and coach in the prestigious tournament once again.

Mourinho has reportedly spoken with the former club president of Fenerbache, Aziz Yildirim, and the Portuguese coach is keen to join after watching their recent match against Konyaspor in the league, which ended 0-0 last week. The report from AS reads, " Former president Aziz Yildrim revealed that he spoke face-to-face with Jose Mourinho for two hours last week, and his assistants are negotiating with the representatives of the Portuguese coach." The European giants seem to now be heavy favorites to appoint Mourinho this summer, and the 'Special One' could soon make a return to managing.

The other clubs linked to Mourinho

Jose Mourinho was also linked to clubs in the Premier League. A return to Chelsea and Manchester United seemed like an idea from both clubs, who have struggled this season with their respective managers. Newcastle United was also showing interest in the Portuguese coach. Although Portugal has a manager in Roberto Martinez, Mourinho hinted that he would accept the job if he was offered it again, since he rejected it twice in the past.
