Carlo Ancelotti reportedly earns an $11 million yearly salary with Real Madrid, but Flick would be earning significantly less. According to Diario AS, Flick has accepted a lower salary of about $3.2 million fixed to sign for Barça. He will be compensated with bonuses, including $1 million for winning the Champions League and $814,275 for winning the league. The German coach would earn less than what Xavi earned during his time at the club. Xavi was reportedly earning more than $8 million per year.

Sport has reported that Flick is already in Barcelona and will be having a meeting with the club president, Joan Laporta.
