Manchester United confirms its upturn, won its second consecutive game in the tournament, and in both, Cristiano was a substitute.

Manchester United won again and it is great news for the team, but not Cristiano Ronaldo. It was a close victory for United with a solitary goal by Bruno Fernandes at Saint Mary's Stadium,  against a tough Southampton that went from more to less in the match that meant the debut of Casemiro with the United shirt.

Manchester United achieved its goal, did not play a great game, but again passed the test with a solitary goal from a Portuguese combination, Diogo Dalot put the cross and Bruno Fernandes scored the goal after 55 minutes, while Cristiano was on the substitutes' bench.

Manchester United win in what could be Cristiano Ronaldo's last match with the team

Once again, the Portuguese superstar started again as a substitute, next to him was his great friend and former teammate, Casemiro. Both took the field in the second half when the team was already leading 1-0.

Ronaldo gave a scare in one of his first actions, he received a strong blow from which it took him several minutes to recover, Casemiro instead came on in the 80th minute for Elanga to consolidate the midfield to support that lone goal by Fernandes.

United on the rise, Ronaldo on the low

The goal was achieved, Manchester United won its second consecutive game, against a complicated opponent and away, something that was a pending debt after winning at home against Liverpool, Ten Hag's cycle now has its second win and in both, Cristiano started the games from the substitutes' bench and it is evident that he is not in his best form, physically and mentally.
