The US Open Cup will be played between Inter Miami and Houston Dynamo

Inter Miami led by Lionel Messi achieved an important qualification to the final of the US Open Cup. David Beckham's team battled against Cincinnati FC in a high-tension semifinal with many important moments. However, after winning the Leagues Cup and winning 44 titles, the question reappears as to whether the US Open Cup is an official title for Messi.

In this championship that has been held since 1914, teams from both amateur and professional league levels (MLS among them) compete on equal terms in a single match at the different venues of the participants. The emotions of the tournament are guaranteed as it is a competition in which the matches have no return; if these remain tied, the definition will extend to the overtime and later to the kicks from the penalty mark.

Inter Miami, which beat its rival on penalties, will face Houston Dynamo, executioner of Real Salt Lake, in the final. The decisive match will be played on September 27 in Miami, with many chances to be played at Hard Rock Stadium.

Is the US Open Cup an official title?

The reality is that yes. The US Open Cup is the soccer tournament in the United States, which includes all teams, both amateur and professional, in a single competition in a single match in which Miami managed to reach the semifinal prior to the arrival of Lionel Messi. Now, with the Argentine, along with Busquets and Jordi Alba, the club advanced to the final and looks like a slight favorite against a great team like the Houston Dynamo.
