Mbappé, Messi and Neymar are the three biggest stars for PSG and of course, their most expensive assets. After the last transfer window, ‘Donatello’ even managed to earn 150 million euros just for signing his renewal with PSG. Even if the club's economy doesn't obey any sort of rules, they still have to be a profitable business.
There's the importance and relevance that Lionel Messi brought to Paris Saint-Germain as soon as his signing was announced. The club recently revealed the staggering amount that the argentine made them earn in shot of a year that he's been there.
Two months after the World Cup, the unexpected and terrible news that Kylian Mbappe received
Marc Armstrong, business director for PSG has stated that the brand's demand in shirts alone grew 40 to 60% ever since the argentine's arrival. These stats are a mere confirmation for the information that ‘The Economist’ journal published stating that the french club has 700 million euros income and has signed as many as 10 new sponsorship deals with brands thanks to Lio.
Argentina's number ‘10’ arrival has not only made a huge impact on the club's economics and sponsors, they've also become the number one french business on instagram with 62.7 million followers and gained over 15 million followers on each social media platform since Messi's arrival to an incredible total of 150 million followers across all platforms.
In spite of his controversies, Mbappé's still one of the most important players in PSG but his cost is yet to be met with his worth. He's the top earning player at PSG making a staggering 83 million per season, well over Neymar's and Messi's 62 million per season combined. Even with that salary, Mbappé could leave PSG in 2024.
