PSG has enjoyed Messi’s resurgence more than anyone, and he is the most popular player on the team.

A renewed Paris Saint-Germain, which started the season in great form and is one of the leaders of Ligue 1, returned to joy on match day 6 of the French championship: they beat Nantes 3-0 at the Stade de la Beaujoire with two goals from Kylian Mbappé and a goal converted by Nuno Mendes.

Leo Messi played all ninety minutes and showed his quality. When he steps on the pitch he sees what others do not and plays like no one else. He is no longer the explosive striker of Barcelona, now he is the playmaker of Paris Saint-Germain, pulling the strings of the team. This Saturday he was one of the stars of Cristophe Galtier's team in the away win. He gave two assists to Kylian Mbappé and with six assists in six games, he is the tournament's top assister alongside Neymar.

PSG are enjoying Messi’s moment more than anyone. In the team’s social media accounts, Messi has been highlighted since the start of the season more than any of his teammates —including Mbappé— and is full of praise on and off the pitch. Messi has proved a valuable asset to PSG as his commercial impact off the pitch has made PSG a lot of money.

PSG and Messi enter Champions League

This Champions League is a good opportunity for Lionel Messi, who, with 125 goals, is just 15 shy of the Portuguese's tally before the start of the new edition of Europe's top club competition. Back in top form at PSG thanks to excellent preparation, the former Barcelona star is currently more of an assist man than a goalscorer, but at 35 years of age, he is sure to be motivated for the Champions League.
