Mbappé’s influence in PSG is hurting Leo Messi and other Argentina players in PSG.

Kylian Mbappé signed a new contract with PSG, the deal not only made him the highest paid player in the world, but it gave him unprecedented powers in the French club. Mbappé’s influence on and off the pitch has affected several players, including several Argentines that were involved in PSG’s project.

Now, with less than three months to go for the World Cup to start, Lionel Messi’s national team is affected by some of the decisions made by PSG over Mbappé’s demands. Several Argentina players were forced to be separated this summer, and Messi is certainly not happy with these events.

Players like Angel Di María and Leandro Paredes were forced out of the PSG squad and this will have an effect on Argentina’s team chemistry. Argentina will travel to Qatar in November looking for their third World Cup title and the first one in almost thirty years.

Messi will play what could be his last World Cup with Argentina

Although Messi lost several of his close friends over the summer, ‘La Pulga’ looks extremely focused on his level, and seems to be finding himself at the perfect moment. He is acting as PSG’s centerpiece in attack and has been the team’s best playmaker. It seems his role as a goalscorer is being diminished by the presence of Mbappé and Neymar upfront, but Messi is showing signs of his brilliant self.
