In England, it seems that there is no week in which the VAR (Video Assistant Referee) does not make an appearance. Many times its decisions have been considered controversial because of how long it takes to analyze a play. However, most of the time the correction of the referees' decisions benefits the game.
But other times it seems that VAR takes the fun out of football. Many times fans cannot understand the logic behind the decisions of the VAR referees. For example, some plays are decided by a few inches and a special review has to be done. Although it is considered differently in other situations: they make the decision quickly in a similar move but another game.

The harsh reality that Jurgen Klopp has to face
Something like that happened in the Liverpool goal. While one of the strikers seemed offside by a considerable distance, the VAR decided to quickly check the play, without much analysis even though it seemed that the referee's first decision had been the correct one. The worst of all is that this influenced Liverpool to rise later in the second half.
Despite being marked offside by the referee, Liverpool's first goal against Brighton was considered good. After a magnificent play by the Egyptian Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino was in front of the goal and did not miss his opportunity to score the first for Liverpool. However, there was controversy because he had first been marked as offside but after a VAR intervention, the goal was considered good.
