The Spanish center-back was one of the players who mediated between the two stars so that they could reconcile after Saturday's incidents against Montpellier.

The tension between Mbappé and Neymar seems to have been settled, for the time being. According to information from Le Parisien, this Sunday there was a meeting between the two with Luis Campos, PSG's sporting advisor, to explain to them that the problems were solved in private and not in the spotlight.

The two PSG superstars acknowledged to have forgotten the clash after having disputes in different episodes of tension in the last 48 hours because of a penalty taken by Neymar and not Mbappé against Montpellier.

One of the squad members who interceded in the problem was Sergio Ramos. According to Le Parisien, Ramos, who is gradually regaining form after a difficult first year in Paris, mediated between the two on Saturday in the locker room after the win against Montpellier to try and calm the atmosphere after a rather intense night at the Parc des Princes.

The relationship between Mbappé and Neymar has gone from strength to strength over time. The French international did not oppose an exit of the Brazilian in the summer, which could have increased the tension between the two cracks.

Neymar’s controversy in social media

The former Barcelona player ‘liked’ to two posts on Twitter reproaching Mbappé for wanting to take the second penalty, in addition to recognizing that the player is now practically the “owner” of PSG. Next Sunday, against Lille, we will find out if the two have bettered their relationship.
