Kylian Mbappé will not play for Al-Hilal. The Middle Eastern club, which had also sought Lionel Messi when it became known that he would be a free agent, had offered PSG 300 million euros and a salary of 700 'kilos' for one year to the captain of the French team, but finally the player rejected the proposal.

The Saudi Arabian team delegation had already traveled to Paris to negotiate with the player after the last Ligue 1 champion gave them the green light for their offer. However, as happened with the top winner of the Ballon d'Or (7), the money was not enough to finish convincing a Mbappé who was given the chance to leave with the pass in his possession to Real Madrid in 2024.

The reason why Kylian declined the option to play for Al-Hilal is that he prioritizes continuing at the highest level in Europe and believes that spending a season in Asia would be wasting a year in one of the best moments of his career. Now, PSG remains convinced that he has an agreement with Merengue for next season and the position does not change: either they sell him or he does not play.

Marco Verratti would play in Al-Hilal

The consolation the Saudis would have coming from Paris would be the Italian midfielder. As reported by Fabrizio Romano, an agreement has already been reached for the transfer to close for around 30 million euros and Verratti, one of Messi's great friends at the French club, would sign for three years.
