Former France star Emmanuel Petit has criticised Kylian Mbappe, saying that the Paris Saint-Germain forward “annoys everyone”. Mbappe - who reportedly wants to quit the Ligue 1 giants in January - was critical of coach Christophe Galtier's tactics. The 23-year-old posted an Instagram story that included a picture of himself in action accompanied by “#pivotgang” in a dig at the way Galtier used him.

There has also been tension between Mbappe and teammate Neymar this season, with Petit stating that Mbappe's behaviour is “unacceptable” and that he “annoys everyone”. Petit said, “He annoys everyone today. He makes it personal all the time. He even puts himself above the institution. Has everything that has happened in recent months gone to his head?”

“You were on the right side when you arrived at PSG, then you were on the left. Now you are in the centre. But it's never fixed on the pitch. The players up front spend their time moving around and switching in their respective area. The club is more important than any one player. Today, Mbappe's statements are irrelevant and show a lack of respect for the institution, but also for his partners.”

Petit closed by saying Mbappe is targeting his coach and certain players, which he finds to be regrettable. According to the ex-Arsenal midfielder, everything has been done to accommodate Mbappe, who is behaving like an ingrate. Are his talents worth all the grief and criticism? If he his such a bad influence, why not just let him go?

The Mbappe circus is always in town

Rather than complaining about the same player week in and week out, why not create some stability at the capital by getting rid of the problem child. If he wants to go, it should be easy to arrange a deal. He is one of the most highly prized footballers in the game, but it seems everyone is addicted to the drama.
