The departure of a PSG player in Al Khelaifi's hands, money could be a problem

Ander Herrera's return to Athletic is close to being confirmed. Although Al Khelaifi demanded a symbolic amount of entry to unblock the situation, the Parisian president is willing to give him the letter of freedom as long as the player gives up half of the salary that corresponds to him for the two years remaining on his contract at PSG. An amount that, added to the 40% signing bonus due to him for arriving for free at the club in 2019, amounts to eight million euros.

In any case Ander Herrera is not leaving. PSG has shown him the exit door after Christophe Galtier told him, like other teammates, that he did not count on him this season. There are too many players and the French champion has to balance a dressing room full of stars.

A priori he will sign for two years plus an optional one and, as reported by the newspaper AS, he will receive an amount in compensation for arriving with the letter of freedom. At the age of 33, he is preparing to return to what was his home between 2011 and 2014, one of the best periods in the history of the Basque club.
