In times of economic difficulties, any good news in the form of new income is more than welcome. FC Barcelona is working on the sales of the second 'pack' of television rights and 49.9% of BLM (Barça Licensing & Merchandising) to gain financial muscle and undertake the signings required by Xavi Hernández for the upcoming season.
At the same time, the sporting management is also speeding up the 'exit operation' with two fundamental objectives: to reduce the bulky wage bill and to try to obtain the maximum possible profit from the sale of players.
With the departure of Francisco Trincao for 10 million euros to Sporting de Portugal, Barça will have already earned 35 million euros. Dani Alves finished his contract and Clément Lenglet was loaned without option to buy, but Philippe Coutinho (Aston Villa) and Ferran Jutglà (Bruges) did leave money to the Blaugrana side, 20 and 5 million euros, respectively.
The culé entity, however, still has a lot of work ahead of them, the possibility of transfers could reach, if all goes well, 150 million euros. Without any doubt, this scenario would be very positive for the present and future of the club at all levels.
Frenkie de Jong and Memphis Depay do not want to move from Camp Nou and Xavi will count on them if they stay. In a benevolent economic context, Joan Laporta's board of directors would not consider their departures either. However, the club would appreciate room for maneuver and would not be able to reject huge offers for the Dutchmen. If any team offers around 80 and 20 million euros respectively for them, it will be difficult for the proposals not to be translated into transfers.
