If reports are to be believed, then Paris Saint-Germain is interested in signing Real Madrid's new defender, Rafa Marín. Some have called Marin the new Sergio Ramos, wouldn't it be awesome to have the legend himself to teach him everything the World Cup champion has? The question is, why would Nasser Nasser Al-Khelaïfi want to steal Real Madrid's future center back?

Ramos is a solid player, but he's not young. He is 36 years old and is no longer a world-beater anymore. So it's obvious why would PSG wants to sign him. Also, since Thiago Silva exited the Parisian defense PSG has been looking for a future ace that could cover the place he left. Also, Marquinhos has shown how he can partner up with anyone, so Marin's likely transfer could benefit PSG anyway.

Nevertheless, there is the obvious possibility he could stay at Real Madrid. The Spanish team was amazing last season winning almost all the trophies of the 2021-2022 season. So it could be odd for him to leave the Spanish side. But he is yet to make his professional debut at 20 years old. So maybe a PSG could convince him.

Why would Paris Saint-Germain want to sign Rafa Marin?

Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly interested in signing Rafa Marin from Real Madrid. And according to reports in Spain, PSG is keen on luring him away from the Santiago Bernabeu. This just reminds us that the PSG president could want to taunt Madrid's president Florentino Pérez. Last summer Kylian Mbappe snub a Real Madrid offer so it's likely that Nasser Al-Khelaifi wants to get back at Pérez for trying to steal his most valuable player.
