The last photo of Messi that does not leave Neymar and Mbappe in a good place
After shining more than Mbappe against Troyes, what Messi did and made the PSG fans happy
When Danilo left the pitch after 25 minutes in Paris St. Germain's key Ligue 1 clash against Olympique Marseille summer signing helped keep the backline secure slotting in easily to maintain a clean sheet and give them all three points in a tight 1-0 win. While he's been getting mixed reviews from fans of the mega-rich PSG head coach Christophe Galtier is absolutely pleased with the versatile Frenchman.
Galtier has praised Mukiele for his versatility and with good reason. Since his arrival in the summer, Mukiele has played in a variety of positions including centre-back, wing-back, and defensive midfield. And he's done it well putting in several key tackles and showing the same qualities that got him scouted in the first place. In a squad full of stars the coach is sure to appreciate his industry even more.
He ended Messi's dream, now he will not go to Qatar for this surprising reason
While Mbappe thinks he is better than Messi, the unexpected hint Galtier gives him
Earlier in the season Mukiele received praise for replacing right-back Achraf Hakimi, last weekend he came on as a sub again for centre-back Danilo who had to exit early further enhancing his reputation after a solid 100-match run at RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga. Any injuries that may occur will only allow him more time on the pitch and more opportunities to cement his place in the squad.
With the front three of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in fantastic form ahead of their World Cup campaigns in Qatar 2022, a solid backline is important to PSG's title hopes in Ligue 1. There's plenty of reason for the Parisiens to feel confident with the likes of Mukiele keeping things secure in front of goal.
