One of Argentina's player's will have his ultimate test to show Scaloni he deserves to be in Qatar

Argentina is ready for the upcoming matches against Honduras and Jamaica. Lionel Scaloni has his teams training and the only thing to define is the eleven-man squad that will start these matches for the Copa América champions. Scaloni still waits for Cristian Romero and Lisandro Martinez to arrive and join the team.

The players are all competing against each other for a spot in the final list to Qatar and the competition is not easy by any means. One of these players is Ángel Correa, the striker has been a regular for Scaloni but he has not been playing as much as he could.

Correa was in the Copa América champion squad, but wasn't a determining player at all. He played only two matches and one of them he came in from the bench. ‘Angelito’ has 27 matches with Argentina and 6 goals. His competitors are none other than Messi, Di Maria, Lautaro Martinez or Dybala. Fierce players with great numbers, so his task is a tough one.

He might be getting a few minutes and even starting against Honduras, but it will all come down to how much he can make in the time he's given and how he manages to make Scaloni notice his contribution to the team. His opportunity might be unique against Honduras.

Correa's current situation

Ángel Correa is not a lousy player. He's been an important piece for Atlético Madrid and Cholo Simeone for the last seasons but he's begun to yield in the face of competitors. Joao Felix, Griezmann and Matheus Cunha are taken into account far more than the argentine and his minutes on the pitch are currently scarce. This is a key factor that could harm his chances to go to Qatar.
