Lionel Messi's interview with TUDN Mexico has been a widely discussed topic. The 15 minute interview between the two Ballon D'or winners left a lot of highlights to discuss and one of them was Messi's discussion about his time at PSG and what he wants to achieve. 

His first season at PSG wasn't his best. He missed goals at decisive moments of the season and he stated that he ‘couldn’t fin himself' during most of the season. He had trouble adapting to the new scheme of the league but he managed to pull off the season under Mauricio Pochettino.

Lionel Messi discussed the most controversial match of the past Champions League, the knocout stage against Real Madrid in which many people said that the French club was better in both the home and away matches. 

Lio spoke about this knockout and and stated that PSG was in fact better at the sum of the two matches. Messi told Stoichkov that ‘the elimination against Real Madrid was a tough pill to swallow because we played two good matches and it was decided by little details.’ Lio also stated that ‘the best doesn’t always win.' 

Messi's promise to his fans for this season

Lio wants to win it all. Messi has stated that he's feeling better this season and that he's eager to win everything he can both with PSG and Argentina. Messi wants to be ‘at the situation’s size' when it comes to UEFA Champions League. PSG is indubitably one of the top candidates for winning the Champions League this season, but as always, everything will be decided on the pitch.
