The eight week of the Premier League is here! As Manchester City looks forward to prevail as the top leader of the English tournament where they'll face Wolves Hampton, and will try to link up their seventh victory of the season and remain undefeated in the tournament and keep trailing for the consecutive victory of the Premier League.

Manchester City comes from an unexpected 1-0 loss against Newcastle in the third round of the EFL Cup (more known now as Carabao Cup) where Pep Guardiola's team got elimintaed early on from the competition. They are looking forward for the remain of the season and will focus on the Premier League and their participation in the UEFA Champions League. Man City also had a win over Nottingham Forest. They faced Nottingham Forest last weekend not at City Ground.

On the other hand, Wolves Hampton hasn't been doing great as they are almost at the bottom of the standings table with only four point made throughout the whole tournament, as they only have won one game, tied one and have four defeats in their record, and will probably fail today against Manchester City.

Injuries on Manchester City

Manchester City's awful situation on the injuries was very concerning for Pep Guardiola, as they started the tournament with Jack Grealish, Kovacic, Stone, De Bruyne on the injury reserve list, and later on, against Union Berlin, Bernardo Silva will be added to this list. And we can't forget the situation on Spanish midfielder who is currently suspended for three games when he got expeled vs Nottingham Forest. Fans are happy that Phil Foden and Ruben Dias will be present at the Etihad Stadium. Man City vs Wolves promises to be a great match.

Now, Grealish and Kovacic have successfully come out from their injuries, and they will play against Wolverhampton in order to help the team conquer their seventh and straight win of the season, as they are the top favorites to win the Premier League tournament.

Manchester City's goal is two in four Premier League trophies in a row, which is a record that no Premier League has ever done in the history of the league. Man City won the last three Premier League titles, which makes them one of the most successful clubs in the Premier League era. Man City last season almost did not win the league because of the impressive performance of Arsenal under mikel Arteta. Many fans did not expect Arsenal to do so well in the league, and their form last year led many to believe that it was theirs to win. Arsenal had a long unbeaten streak in the league last season, where they were first more many days ahead of Manchester City, but a poor run of form in the last months of the season is what cost them to beat Man City off for the title.

Arsenal finished second in the Premier League last season with 84 points after having a record of 26 wins, six draws, and six losses. Manchester City won the league with 89 points and a record of 28 wins, five draws, and five defeats. Arsenal dropped a lot of points towards the end of the season. In the last nine matches of the Premier League last season, Arsenal won three out of nine games. They drew three matches and they lost three matches as well. One of the those losses was a 4-1 win against Man City.

Manchester City started the season well, as they won the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla on penalties. Since then, they have won all of their games so far except the last match against Newcastle United. In the Premier League, they won their opener against Burnley, which was a 3-0 win. They then defeated Newcastle United, Sheffield United, Fulham, West Ham United, Red Star Belgrade, and Nottingham Forest.

After this game against Wolves, Man City will have two more tough opponents. In the Champions League, they will play against RB Leipzig, and in the Premier eager, they will take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
