Real Madrid showed their love to the victims of racism attacked outside the Civitas Stadium.

During the Classic Metropolitan Derby between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, where the Merengues has their first defeat, an unfortunate event took place just moments before the match began outside the area of the Metropolitan Civitas Stadium, where two ultra Atletico’s fans harassed and disturbed a mother and her child that were wearing a Vinicius Jr. jersey.

As we informed in El Futbolero, Real Madrid and La Liga would take legal actions against these two fans and Atletico Madrid for the racist incident that happened outside the stadium. Until now, the case hasn't advanced, and neither La Liga or Atletico Madrid have given an update of the case.

Real Madrid obviously heard of this terrible incident and decided to have a noble gesture with the mother and her two childs who got attacked last Sunday September 24th when they were walking towards the entrance of the Civitas Stadium in order to enjoy the Classic Metropolitan Derby.

In the video above we can see how Florentino Perez, CEO of Real Madrid, Joselu, Federico Valverde and other Merengues met with the victims. This noble gesture from the Spanish club hopes to compensate for the racist attack engaged on the mother and her childs, who are great fans of the team and specially Vinicius Jr.

Racism attacks in La Liga

Vinicius Jr. suffered 10+ racism attacks during the 2021 season and has even been recorded by La Liga. The last and most famous case was in May 2021 when Real Madrid faced Valencia. Assistants and Valencia 's fans started to insult Vinicius Jr. The game had to be suspended until the whole stadium shut down the racism sayings.

Months later, with actions taken by Valencia and La Liga, the police could arrest seven persons who were involved in the beef against Vinicius Jr. But this isn’t the only two occasions the Spaniard football has been witness to these types of hate crimes.

Just yesterday, a new racism attack took place in the Italian football team, Napoli, when the team’s administrator of their social media posted and then deleted two racist videos against Victor Osimhen. Robert Candela, Osimhen’s manager, announced that the Nigerian striker would take legal actions on Napoli and the person in charge of the social media accounts of the team.
