The Juventus board has targeted Presnel Kimpembe, a defender who plays for Paris Saint-Germain. The French club, who are already working on the signing of Milan Skriniar, would not be opposed to the sale of the player.

The Premier League clubs that would compete for the signing of Juventus’ Matthijs de Ligt

Some time ago, the French defender Presnel Kimpembe assured that he was considering staying at Paris Saint-Germain until the end of his career. Since then, much seems to have changed. According to Sky, the player could be heading to Juventus, a team that is on the hunt for a replacement for Giorgio Chiellini.

PSG would not frown upon the departure of the youth player. The 26 year-old center-back has made a total of 41 official appearances during the 2021-2022 season, but his performances have been neither as consistent nor as effective as expected. In addition, away from the pitch, his behavior does not seem to have been to the liking of the directors.

Juventus worried about losing another defender

Multiple reports suggest that Matthijs de Ligt might be about to leave Juventus. At the conclusion of last season, the Bianconeri previously parted company with their illustrious captain Giorgio Chiellini. The backline will therefore need to be upgraded by manager.

Today, a fresh contender has surfaced as a prospective replacement for the Dutchman who might be leaving. In the event that de Ligt leaves during the current transfer window, Juventus will pursue signing Kimpembe, according to Sky Sport via TuttoJuve.
