Seven days left until the transfer window closes, and teams are still searching for the ideal players to strengthen their squads. Currently, Joao Felix remains a player of Atlético de Madrid; however, the Portuguese player has expressed his desire to leave 'Los Colchoneros' this summer.
Felix himself stated to Fabrizio Romano that he wishes to play for Barcelona. Yet, as of today, there's no formal offer from Xavi Hernandez's team for Felix.
Moreover, the Spanish team currently doesn't require forwards or at least not offensive players, which makes the possibility of seeing him at Barcelona complicated for now. It's worth noting that Joao's six months at Chelsea were less than optimal. With very few opportunities and a lackluster overall performance, the forward returned to Madrid where he seems to have limited chances under Cholo Simeone.
Because of this, the player has chosen to take a defiant stance. In response, Atlético de Madrid's President Enrique Cerezo declared that even if he no longer wants to be with the club, he remains an Atlético player, whether he likes it or not. If this situation continues, both the club and the player will opt for an alternative plan.
According to the Spanish newspaper AS, Joao Felix has an agreement with Al-Hilal for a one-year loan move. Felix's career hasn't been entirely good. The wonderkid was signed by Atlético de Madrid in 2019 for €126 million, becoming the third most expensive signing in history at that time. Now, at just 23 years old, he could potentially join the Saudi Pro League along with Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, among others.
