Manchester City is maintaining a perfect start to the current Premier League season. Pep Guardiola's team aims to continue the strong momentum shown last season, where they achieved the coveted treble. The arrivals of Josko Gvardiol, Jeremy Doku, and Mateo Kovacic have been the significant signings for City this season, all coming with star potential.

However, with just two days left in the transfer window, it seems that City is set to make at least one more sale,  involving a promising young player from their ranks. The player in question is midfielder Cole Palmer, a standout in the under-21 team at Etihad Stadium. Palmer notably scored a goal against Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup final.

Lack of playing time could lead the 21-year-old forward to seek more minutes elsewhere, and Chelsea seems to be the destination. According to Mauricio Pochettino, the team is in search of an attacking player who can operate both as a forward and a midfielder, making Palmer a perfect addition to their squad.

Chelsea's interest is real

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea has initiated negotiations with Manchester City, and a transfer fee of $57 million has been discussed. As per the Italian journalist, Palmer is reportedly willing to leave City and make a move to London with Chelsea.
