The spanish player is now assist leader at Serie A and has stated that he will nor return to Barça

On 2009, a young spanish player had developed in La Masía and wanted to be Barça's next big star. He made his way through matches and showed his talent as a striker and right winger for the team. After several years spent on loans and not being a regular at Barça, this player decided to flee the catalan club and look for a better place. 

He landed at Watford, where he spent a semi successful series of seasons, but didn't quite fit in. Now, he's the assist leader with Udinese Calcio at Serie A and stated, in several occasions that he doesn't want to return to Barça ever again.

Earlier today in an interview with Marca, Gerard Deulofeu was asked if he'd return to Barcelona. He politely but very firmly denied that and stated that he's made it very clear he will not return there ever again. Later on, he was questioned if he'd move to Real Madrid, should they contact him to which he said: “You can't say no to Real Madrid”. 

Gerard Deulofeu was moved around constantly and never taken into account as he wanted by several coaches during his career. One of these was Ernesto Valverde, who played him on 17 matches win which he scored only 2 goals. 

Deulofeu's new career stage: 

The former spanish U18 international is now at the best moment in his career playing for Udinese at Serie A. He's led his team to be 3rd in Serie A just a point away from the leader and has 6 assists and a goal in 8 matches. His team is also the best squad at home and has even bent José Mourinho's Roma this season.
