Paris Saint-Germain club caused a great commotion at the beginning of September, when it got rid of Marco Verratti, one of its most emblematic players, and transferred him to Al-Arabi of the Qatari league for a sum of 45 million euros. The reason for this decision was that Luis Enrique, the coach of the French team, had told him that he did not count on him because he is "the prototype of a player that I detest", the Italian broke the silence in dialogue with L'Equipe and told details of his departure.

The media outlet Le Parisien reported that the Italian midfielder had a tough confrontation with PSG coach Luis Enrique after his departure. The coach reportedly told him that he would not start him in any preseason game because he was the type of player he did not like. As a result of this, the footballer began to look for another team.

I am someone sincere, I say what I think and they have done the same. When we returned to work, I met with the coach and he told me that it was not part of his plans. He simply told me that he wanted to change, do something new, that he had been here for many years," the midfielder told L'Equipe in an interview.  The Qatari club Al-Arabi SC acquired the services of Verratti, who was almost 31 years old, in September in exchange for 45 million euros.

In relation to whether PSG needs his creative talent in the midfield, given his irregular performance, he stated “yes” and recalled what some of his former teammates expressed to him before his departure. I know what I am capable of, I have trained with them for two months (from last July to September). There were players who almost begged me to stay. That is the best recognition, that of those who see you every day and who know what you can do," he said.

¿What else did Verrati say?

The skilled Italian national team player expressed that he greatly respects Luis Enrique as a great coach. "I think he needed other players. I have nothing against him, we had very good relations. I trained every day hard. "He can't say anything bad about me either," he said. Verratti, who was the subject of severe questioning from fans for his alleged disorderly life in his last season at PSG, stated that he was always transparent. For me, football has been first and foremost a game, then it had a life. I liked going to restaurants, having a glass of wine when there was no training. There are players who hide, I have always recognized it," explained the Italian
