Galtier eyes another possible substitute for Neymar

Life at Paris Saint Germain seems to have just taken a huge turn. Almost five years ago, PSG managed to bring together one of the greatest Brazilian icons (Neymar) with the young promise of French football (Mbappé). From their first moments together, it was clear that the two had a special connection on the field.

However, the time has passed. In 2018, Mbappé won the World Cup in Russia with France and established himself as one of the greatest icons in the sport. On the other hand, Neymar continued to show why he was the leader of Brazil. At that point, their relationship hadn't changed, and the dynamic duo was taking all the trophies in France.

But something changed last year. With the renewal of Mbappé (and his new salary of almost 90 million euros a year) the Frenchman's attitude towards Neymar transformed. Now, even when Neymar is questioned about his relationship with the Frenchman, he deflects the interrogation and walks away.

A new striker to avoid problems

And according to what was reported from France, Mbappé would not protest if Neymar left PSG. But to replace him, a striker with different characteristics would arrive, such as the young Milan striker Rafael Leao, who is to the liking of the Parisian board. 
Leao was already champion of the Italian league with AC Milan and this season so far he has scored three goals and provided assists on six different occasions. A different striker who could help Mbappé reach another level.
