As reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano, FC Barcelona is close to completing a new deal with Ousmane Dembélé, who has accepted the latest offer that has been put on the table. But the Blaugrana side has to decide whether or not to close the signing in the coming days.

Dembélé would have opted to leave the club this summer in search of a better contract. But in the absence of offers, he has been forced to re-evaluate his future with Barcelona.

Dembélé's future depends on FC Barcelona

The French winger has conveyed to the club that he is willing to accept the latest offer, which is a two-year contract (until the summer of 2024) and a cut between 30% and 40% of his salary after his old contract expired a few days ago and Barça is looking to cut costs.

His participation and performance within the team would change his salary, taking into account the variables he has. Such complements would somewhat cushion the wage reduction. Details remain to be finalized, but it is FC Barcelona that has the last word to finalize the move. His salary would be the same as Ansu Fati's.

The continuity of Ousmane Dembélé has nothing to do with the signing of Raphinha. The Blaugrana side have approached Leeds United with an improved verbal proposal for the Brazilian. Everything seems to indicate that Joan Laporta and Xavi Hernandez want to count on both wingers for next season.
