Chivas lacks a striker and coach Veljko Paunovic reveals he already has an AS up his sleeve

The Chivas coach, Veljko Paunovic, revealed in a press conference prior to the match against Cruz Azul that he is not concerned about the lack of a forward center for the rojiblanco team, however, he would already have an AS up his sleeve ready for the Apertura 2023.

According to the Serbian strategist, one of the revulsive factors that he would have within the Chivas squad if he did not find a forward center is the young Zahid Muñoz, who despite being a winger on the left in Tapatío has also worked as a false 9, a virtue that Paunovic values.

"Tapatío is a great platform to develop players, since we make players like Zahid play a very similar position to what we do in our system (false 9)," said the Chivas coach, prior to the match against Cruz Azul that could define the direct classification of the rojiblanco team to the league.

Will Chivas go for a TOP striker?

In the Chivas folder would be names like Javier Hernández and Alan Pulido. According to the journalist from Jesús Hernández, the board would be contemplating opening the portfolio for the next summer market and acquiring a TOP forward, taking into account the participation of the Flock again in a Liguilla.
