But Man. United will have to battle for the striker with another Premier League club

Manchester United has reportedly joined Chelsea in the race for AC Milan forward Rafael Leao. The 23-year-old has been in impressive form for Milan this season, scoring four goals and providing eight assists in 13 appearances in all competitions. Leao’s performances are said to have attracted the attention of several top clubs, with Chelsea and United both believed to be interested in signing him.

Leao is under contract with Milan until 2024, so any interested party would have to fork out a sizeable fee to land him. It remains to be seen whether either United or Chelsea will make a move for the youngster, but he looks like he could be an exciting addition to either squad. The Blues
are said to be interested in signing Leao to have more attacking power under Graham Potter.

Manchester United, on the other hand, is reportedly looking at Leao as a potential successor to Cristiano Ronaldo, who is also set to depart Old Trafford at the end of the season or even during the winter transfer market. Although Martial is injured, it seems Erik ten Hag isn't impressed with what the 37-year-old Portuguese legend can bring to the Red Devils.

The Red Devils and the Blues are both in need of attacking reinforcements

Leao has been in impressive form for Milan since joining them in 2019, scoring 31 goals and providing 29 assists in 128 appearances. The 21-year-old's versatility would be a valuable asset for either United or Chelsea, as he is capable of playing as a striker or winger. But so far no one knows for sure what will happen with him, maybe we will get more updates after the World Cup.
