It is something that none of the soccer lovers and all the soccer fans are not prepared to see. For both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, football will greatly miss tomorrow when they hang up their boots as professionals and will no longer be on the playing fields demonstrating their talent.
Lionel Messi's recent passage from the elite of European soccer to the United States league, a lower level league, suggests that he no longer has much more to give to soccer as he has done for so many years. Inter Miami will be his new team starting next season, but he is already thinking about retirement.
"I think that no matter what happens along the way, you always have to try and hopefully this is the message for the new generations, who follow me so much, take care of me and defend me," he replied about the legacy he can leave in football for those who come in subsequent years and why not with your children too if they decide to play.
"I want them to remember me as a normal, good person, beyond sports and especially the people who knew me, like my teammates, to remember me as a good person," La Pulga confessed in an interview with Argentine Public TV.
