After receiving Messi's call, Luka Modric's decision to play for Inter Miami

Luka Modric is not going through his best moment as a Real Madrid footballer. The Croatian has just added his second consecutive substitution after having spent the entire derby sitting on the substitute bench. The truth is that the midfielder signed his renewal with the Casa Blanca in order to continue being a starter and taken into account by coach Carlo Ancelotti, something that has not been happening lately and puts Modric's future in Spain in doubt.

Meanwhile, at Inter Miami they are rubbing their hands since both David Beckham and Lionel Messi want to have the Croatian in the Florida team according to information from Bolavip. Modric's situation at Real Madrid does not seem to be going any further and the 38-year-old player would be close to defining his future ahead of the winter market where several teams in Saudi Arabia are waiting to offer him millions. However, Inter Miami will not give up and will try to sign him as much as possible.

The former Real Madrid player, Pedja Mijatovic, told all the details on Cadena SER: “He has received offers from the United States, from many teams and from this one in particular (Inter Miami). He already had the one in Saudi Arabia but he wanted to stay in Madrid... Messi himself has personally been interested in the possibility. In Croatia a few days ago Modric met Beckham, where they were eating”, was what Mijatovic said, leaving everyone surprised.

Modric's position on playing for Inter Miami

As we mentioned before, the only condition that Modric set to continue playing for Real Madrid was to be taken into account by the coach. Today this does not happen and in an interview with a Croatian media he stated: “My only condition for staying was that they treat me as a competitive player… They told me that nothing would change in my status, and that is why I signed. We will see how things develop, if in the future it turns out that I am no longer important, then I would think about what to do…”.
