The portuguese winger João Félix, who this Monday scored one of the goals in his team's commitment corresponding to the qualifiers for Euro 2024, will once again be part of Atlético de Madrid for all purposes starting next July 1 when it ends his loan to the culé team. However, both the desire of the player and of Barça is to continue hand in hand, while it is public and notorious that the great impediment for he to return to Atlético de Madrid is 'Cholo' Simeone, who would be in Madrid for another season further.
Since João Félix's loan to Barça was signed, the club already knew what the conditions were to acquire the services of the portuguese winger. At the same time, the entity chaired by Joan Laporta does not hide that, as the coffers are today, it will be very difficult for them to face the transfer of the portuguese under the agreement.
According to what the website Sport reported, Atlético de Madrid informed Barça that the sale of João Félix next summer would have a price of 80 million euros. And, according to sources close to the operation, said amount would have been recorded in writing. But since it is public and well-known that the catalans cannot assume this amount, and even less so at random, the 'colchoneros' would be willing to distribute the payment in three installments of just over 25 million each. In this regard, the culés would have made a decision.
As of today, as Sport reported, the most feasible option if he continues to perform at a good level is try to agree on a new loan with Atlético. The club believes that next summer it will continue to be very financially limited but is more optimistic about July 2025. A new loan would mean one more year of amortization by Atlético, so the price in 2025 would be substantially lower. The feasibility would be to finalize a transfer with a purchase option with a realistic price and it would be around 40 million.
