Hany Mukhtar has taken the Major League Soccer season by storm and he has been one of the best players in the league so far in the 2021 season. He is in his second season in the MLS, propelling the club founded in 2020 to a second place on the Eastern Conference table.
Hany Mukhtar is a 26year old German professional footballer. He was born in Berlin Germany to a German mother and a Sudanese father. He began his professional career with Hertha Berlin in Germany. After three years of irregular minutes between the B team and the senior team, he joined Benfica in Portugal and was first assigned to the B team but was loaned out to Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg. He played at Red Bull Salzburg for just one season before moving on loan again to Brondby in Norway, he made the move permanent later and spent three seasons before joining Nashville SC, becoming the club's first signing.
It is no exaggeration to say Hany Mukhtar is enjoying his season scoring goals and helping his club Nashville SC high up the Eastern Conference MLS table. The German has scored 14 goals this season and has provided a further eight assists in 25 games. A whopping 22 goals contribution in 25 games is a good return from a forward player. He is one of the players who could still win the Golden Boot as he's just three goals of highest goalscorer Ola Kamara who has 17 goals. He is also joint second on the assist table, such is the proof of his amazing season.
Hany Mukhtar was born in Berlin, Germany and is also eligible to play for the Sudan national team through his father Abubakr Mukhtar. He has represented the country of his birth Germany at all youth levels but has never earned the call up to the star studded Die Mannschaft. He could still declare his allegiance to Sudan though he is yet to do so.
Despite not playing much minutes in his former clubs, Hany Mukhtar has won the league title in two different countries, three if you take into account the Bundesliga II he won with Hertha Berlin. He has also won the European U19 Championship with Germany in Hungary 2014.
