LAFC conceded 37 goals over their 34 regular season games in 2019, but then in 2020 there has been only 16 games and the team has already conceded 30 goals, almost as much as the whole last season. The coach had to do something about this so now a new Colombian defender is very close to join the squad.

Jesús David Murillo, a 26-year-old defender, is about to leave Independiente de Medellin to come and play in the Major League Soccer. The Colombian player made 15 appearances for his team in 2020 and only score once, but he has never been called for the Colombian International Team despite being a starting player at Independiente.

Is Jesús Murillo what LAFC really needs? A lot of fans have been demanding for a player with better stats, the Colombian defender has only played in his native Colombia with Independiente Medellin, Deportivo Pasto and Patriotas Boyaca. We will have to wait and see how he adapt to the MLS.

Los Ángeles FC is now fifth in the table and there is a good chance of classifying to the playoffs. There is only a medical test pending for Murillo to land in the USA and probably become the signing that this team needs to believe in being the champions of the MLS.
