With less than 10 days until the winter window transfer closes, teams are still looking to add players to strengthen their roster for the second part of the 2021-22 season, and as it’s starting to be a habit, German side VfL Wolfsburg has set their eyes in a young American player.

Reports suggest that Wolfsburg is after DC United left midfielder Kevin Paredes and that they already made an offer for the 18-year-old from Virginia. It’s said that DCU has valued his player around $8-9 million, something that Wolfsburg might not want to pay.
Is yet to be known what the Wolves offered on their first attempt to sign Paredes, but negotiations are still going. Although Wolfsburg is ahead on the conversations, Manchester City has also been linked to the American midfielder, who offered around $3.5 million for him, but their offer was rejected.

Paredes debuted with DC United during the 2020 season after playing with DCU Academy teams and being loaned to Loundoun United FC, from USL Championship. He’s played a total of 41 matches for the black and red, managing to score 3 goals and 4 assistances.
