DC United have signed Chilean striker Martin Rodriguez on a permanent transfer to Turkish League side Altay Sk, the club announced Thursday.

Martín Rodriguez is 27 years old and will be able to participate with DC United in week 19 of the MLS against the Philadelphia Union on July 8.

“Martin is a dynamic attacking player in the prime of his career that we are excited to add to our roster to bolster our offense,” said Dave Kasper, DC United president of soccer operations.

Dave Kasper highlighted the experience of Martín Rodríguez, who has played with the Chilean National Team and Mx League teams.

“We are receiving a proven attacker who has won multiple caps with the Chilean National Team and experience at the best clubs in Liga MX. We are excited to add someone with his level of experience and skill, and we believe he will be an impact player for us from the start.”
