Now 30 years old and still with three years left on his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar revealed the name of the league he would like to play in at some stage of his successful career.

While he is currently a teammate of top global stars such as Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé at a Paris Saint-Germain side battling to win its first UEFA Champions League, Neymar has among his possible future plans to play in Major League Soccer.
During his participation in a live show with Ronaldo Nazario, the Brazilian star mentioned that he has his sights set on Major League Soccer, a competition where several players have arrived after their time in Europe and which he sees as having many advantages.
"I'm looking forward to playing in the United States (MLS), at least for one season. Why? First, because the championship is short, you have three months of vacation. I could play there for many years," said the PSG player.
He said on the show that he is closer to playing in MLS than returning to his home league. "I don't know. I have some doubts about that. I don't know if I will ever play in Brazil again," Neymar expressed. "I would like to play in the United States, really".
When questioned further, Neymar argued that the MLS season is shorter than in Europe, which would allow him to have more vacation days and extend his career. However, if an MLS team qualifies for the playoffs his season could be as long as 10 months. "I would play many more years," he simply replied.
Although he did emphasize that he would like to return to wear the jersey of the club where he began to write his career: Santos F.C. "I really want to return to play there (Santos). What I really miss is playing in town. My God, that wonderful stadium," he shared.
This is not the first time the 30-year-old attacker has been linked to MLS. Two years ago, David Beckham spoke specifically about his liking for Neymar and his intention to sign him for Inter Miami CF.
"So I'm going to make you sign a piece of paper, a blank piece of paper. It will be the contract with Inter Miami in 10 years," the Florida club's co-owner told Neymar at the time.
After Beckham joked that Miami "wouldn't pay much," the two smiled, shook hands and both said "done deal'. Off-camera, Neymar assured, "I told him I'll play there one day."
The Brazilian became a professional player in 2009 with Santos before signing in 2013 with FC Barcelona. In 2017 he was transferred to PSG for €222 million, in what is officially the most expensive deal in soccer history to date.
At the international level, Neymar is Brazil's second all-time leading scorer with 70 goals, behind Pele's record of 77.
