This information was disseminated by reporter Tom Bogert, who assures that sources close to him confirmed that the deal has already been completed and that the Brazilian will arrive as a Franchise Player as well as Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez.

If this information is confirmed in the next few hours or tomorrow, both Cruz Azul and Inter of Porto Alegre would be the losers since both clubs wanted the player's services. 

But what has given more strength to this unconfirmed information is that today, a photo of the player appeared on social networks wearing the LA Galaxy jersey. 

This could indicate that the player is only hours or days away from confirming his arrival to Major League Soccer, which could mean that he will not only be "Chicharito's" teammate.

The player's arrival is a dream shared by fans and the club's board of directors, which gained momentum on January 27 when the player's departure from Gremio, his last team in Brazil, became official.

The player decided to formalize his departure, denied just a few days before because Gremio lost the category and this was not to the Brazilian's liking.

Douglas Costa arrived at Gremio in 2020, with Juventus as the owner of his pass until the end of the 2021-22 season, more specifically until next June 30.
