Héctor Herrera had his first victory in the MLS when his team the Houston Dynamo defeated the San José Eathqueakes 2-1, in a match that had many emotions but where the Mexican showed his quality.
Héctor Herrera played the 90 minutes and although he did not participate in any of his team's goals, his teammates recognize his effort and talent on the field of play.
"He's got a great presence, he's a great passer and he's a leader on the floor," Houston Dynamo defender Tim Parker said.
While coach Paul Nagamura recognizes the good individual technique of Héctor Herrera and knows that he will help them to try to reach a ticket to the MLS playoffs.
“I think one thing that Hector brings that we were missing, I think he is a great voice not only in our locker room, but also on the field,” Nagamura said.
Houston Dynamo reached the 11th position in the Western Conference with 25 points and still aspires to have a place in the playoffs.
