Douglas Costa, the addition that LA Galaxy and Cruz Azul are looking for

Douglas Costa, the Brazilian midfielder, is on the agenda of LA Galaxy and Cruz Azul. The MLS and Liga MX teams, respectively, have shown interest in signing the former Juventus and Bayern Munich player.

Costa, 31, was on loan at Gremio from the Italian side Juventus. But following Gremio's relegation to Serie B last month, the club is facing a major cut in finances, and Costa is close to ending his loan.

The LA Galaxy needs to reinforce their midfield in light of the losses they have suffered in the winter transfer window and the first candidate to fill that position is Brazilian Douglas Costa, who currently plays for Gremio.

ESPN reported that the MLS team has made a bid for Costa as Gremio needs to relieve its coffers after its relegation to Serie B, and the Galaxy's proposal would be very tempting.

LA Galaxy team lost Jonathan Dos Santos to America and Sebastian Lletget in a trade to the New England Revolution and have only added Marky Delgado from Toronto.

Cruz Azul

Finally at Gremio, Douglas Costa had a total of five goals and eight assists in the 58 matches he played. His arrival in Liga BBVA MX would immediately turn the spotlight on him.
