A new name appeared in the MLS orbit. Cristian Lema would be the next arrival to the US proffesional soccer league. The 30-years-old defender has ended his loan at Newell's Old Boys and Benfica from Portugal won't take him into account. As a consequence, the Argentinean started to look for different options and New York City FC may be the best one.
With an interesting height and air play, Lema would be a hierarchy reinforce to New York City FC. Newyorkers already have two Argentinean players in its team: Maximiliano Moralez and Valentin Castellanos. For Lema, it would be a big jump to make an economic difference in his career.
Lema would be the 3rd Benfica player in current transfer market to play in MLS this season. The other two which joined the league were Jhonder Cadiz (Nashville) and Yony Gonzalez (LA Galaxy). After Velez Sarsfield declined its interest, it seems that Lema's future would be determined.
